As the DENR – Environmental Management Bureau 7 proactively enhances sustainable efforts for the rehabilitation of rivers in Central Visayas, Lexmark Research and Development Corporation (Lexmark), a long-time partner of EMB7, donated cleanup materials and protective equipment to aid in the bureaus’ undertaking.
Lexmark, a privately held American company that manufactures laser printers and imaging products, turned over today, April 8, 2022 the donated items consisting one hundred (100) pieces of N95 Masks, twenty (20) pairs of boots and industrial gloves, five (5) pieces of jumbo bags, and two (2) pairs of shovels and rakes.
EMB 7 Director Maribel Munsayac personally accepted the donated items and thanked the management of Lexmark for partnering with DENR in its environmental endeavors.
“The Bureau, as well as our partner Barangays, are thankful for this sustainable partnership with Lexmark as well as with other donor partners of our massive river rehab program.
This is very timely in celebration of the Earth Month this April with the theme “Invest in our Planet.”
We do not just invest resources in terms of goods but time as well for all of us to create more resilient waterbodies conducive to our healing process,” RD Munsayac expressed to the management of Lexmark.
