In an effort to extend public service outside of the Office, the DENR through the Environmental Management Bureau – Region 7 conducted a two-day activity for a one-on-one assistance to different establishments in the provinces of Negros Oriental and Siquijor on July 21-22, 2022.
 
The activity, dubbed as “One-Stop-Shop for EMB Environmental Permit Applications”, was conducted at Bethel Guesthouse in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental through EMB-7’s Clearance and Permitting Division (CPD) headed by CPD Chief, Engr. Rizalina Saberon.
 
This “One-Stop-Shop” activity aims to assist these existing establishments in completing their environmental compliances and permits especially those who were having a hard time in accomplishing the necessary attachments and their processes.
 
Before the one-on-one assistance, all environmental laws related to the environmental management as well as the processing of the different applications were discussed.
 
Then after, different establishments were then given assistance on their EMB applications such as Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC)/Certificate of Non-Coverage (CNC), Discharge Permit (DP), Permit to Operate (PO), Pollution Control Officer (PCO) Accreditation, and Hazardous Waste permitting concerns.
 
EMB-7 Director Maribel Munsayac said in her speech that may these type of activities strengthens the compliances of these establishments in Negros Oriental and Siquijor provinces for a goal towards good public health, environmental integrity, and economic viability.
